This QAI sponsored webinar is a course in Effective Test Case Design with an added section on Risk and Test Estimation. This course offers solutions and techniques available to Testers, Test Leads and QA Managers in the challenges they face in managing testing within their organizations. 

This “how-to” seminar is intended to help the software quality professional better understand some of the strategies, techniques and models that can be utilized in test case design.

The primary focus will be on Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Analysis and Decision Tables. Most quality analysts and test engineers have heard these terms but do not make the most of their capabilities. We will cover, step-by-step, how to perform each.

Attendees will practice their new skill sets with supporting exercises. We will also discuss other test case design considerations including test level strategies (unit, integration, system, user acceptance), testing beyond functional requirements (e.g., usability, regression, configuration, performance, security, installation/un-installation), high-level strategies such as risk-based, state-based, Implementation-based, and how the Unified Modeling Language (UML) development models can support test case design, including the value of Use Cases to today's quality professional.

The course is composed of 4 twice-weekly meetings to help participants build and prepare for their role as a test lead.
QAI will provide live, web-based classes that cover Effective Test Case Design course. The course is composed of 8 twice-weekly meetings. Each meeting will be two hours in length.
You will receive an e-mail reminder notice of the Webinar the day before each session. Each week will consist of exercises that are completed after class and returned to the presenter for discussion and feedback.

• Monday - Webinar at 9:00am EST. The seminar leader will go over a series of slides and discuss the topics contained that are of importance to you.
• Friday - Webinar at 9:00am EST. The purpose of this session is to go over the assignments and clear up any questions you may have.

Once registered, you will have access to a Web page has been created for this course, which will contain any downloads and assignments for each week. The link information will be provided to you by the instructor one week before the beginning of the class. Once posted, the information will remain on the site for the entire duration of the course. Check back often as items are added to the Web page frequently.

The Live Webinar System Requirements: The video & audio segments of the Webinar's are accessed independently. We will be using a system called Adobe Connect to conduct the video segment of the Webinar. You will NOT have to download any software.
